Join Ken Matsumoto who will be hosting classes on hand building pottery hosted at Karma Collab Hub in the heart of the creative suburb Miami. There is so much magic in creating something handmade and getting your hands dirty. Unlike set workshops, these will allow you to explore your creativity in making your own pieces.
The standard procedure of pottery making is split between two days and you will need to attend at least both classes to complete your piece(s).
Day one:
Learn how to prepare clay, the tools used in pottery, general tips on what to do and what not to do.
Craft your special piece(s) - please note the workshop is specific to making what is being advertised however the workshops will vary so that you get to return and make different items.
Your piece will be bisque fired between workshops so that it is ready for step two.
Day two:
Prepare and clean creation in preparation for glazing.
Learn about the different types of glazes.
Glaze creation and be patience to see the final piece.
