  Found this Hotel a gem in the haystack in Gympie, Queensland, out of the 11 hotels that are there. It is a cosy/petite Tavern style where there is plenty of intimacy with a very friendly service staff who are only too happy to serve you (one) We're a bit biased as we are related to the Manager (Kim) as she is the greatest person to deal with and has a huge heart and will go out of her way to please. But then 'we are family' and we were visiting her over Xmas 2017 to catch up. This is a quaint, full of atmosphere Hotel and Kim is looking at starting up a night club at 'The Empire'. Look out Gympie, this place has got a natural great intimacy which comes with the historic nature of the place. Gympie is a great town from our vusit there. Will be heading up to Gympie later this year, or it will be 2019, but we have good reasons to head that way again and more regularly.
